DICOM® — Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine — is the international standard for medical images and related information. It defines the formats for medical images that can be exchanged with the data and quality necessary for clinical use.
As standard it is possible to book in the patient data automatically via the DICOM protocol. The DICOM link is configured to request the worklist for a defined modality and the received worklist is processed and synchronized with the IBC worklist.
